Green Day یک گروه راک آمریکایی است که در Rodeo، کالیفرنیا، در سال 1987 توسط خواننده اصلی و بیلیست گیتار، جو آرمسترانگ و باسیست تشکیل شده است و از مایک Dirnt، با دراممر Tré Cool در سال 1990 پشتیبانی می کند. در سال 1994، دومینوکی که با نام اصلی آن ها منتشر شد، از طریق رکوردهای تکراری منتشر شد و در نهایت بیش از 20 میلیون نسخه در ایالات متحده ارسال شد. روز سبز با توجه به علاقه اصلی حاکم بر سنگ پانک اعتبار شده است. قبل از استفاده از نام فعلی آن در سال ۱۹۸۹، گروه به نام کودکان شیرین نامگذاری شد.
