لویی دانیل آرمسترانگ (۴ اوت ۱۹۰۱ – ۶ ژوئیه ۱۹۷۱)، با نام مستعار “Satchmo”، “Satch” و “Pops”، یک جاز آمریکایی و آبی بود که ترومپت و خواننده بود. در میان تاثیرگذارترین چهره های جاز، حرفه او شامل پنج دهه و چندین دوره در تاریخ ژانر بود. آرمسترانگ چندین جایزه از جمله جایزه Grammy برای بهترین عملکرد نجومی برای “سلام، دالی” در سال 1965 و همچنین یک پیروزی پس از آن برای جایزه موفقیت آمیز زندگی گرمی در سال 1972 دریافت کرد. نفوذ او از ژانرهای موسیقی عبور کرد، با القای در تالار جاز DownBeat، Rock و Roll Hall of Fame، و سالن ملی ریتم و Blues Hall of Fame، در میان دیگران.
