متن آهنگ What's Going On
Mother, mother There's too many of you crying Brother, brother, brother There's far too many of you dying You know that we've got to find a way To bring some loving here today, oh Father, father, father We don't need to escalate War is not the answer, yeah For only love can conquer hate You know that we've got to find a way To bring some loving here today Picket signs (brother) and picket lines (brother) Don't punish me (brother) with brutality (brother) Oh, talk to me (brother), so you can see Oh, what's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) Yeah, what's going on Mother, mother Everybody thinks we're wrong But who are they to judge us Simply 'cause our hair is long? You know we've got to find a way To bring some understanding here today Picket signs (sister) and picket lines (sister) Don't punish me (sister) with brutality (sister) Oh, talk to me (sister), so you can see Oh, what's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) What's going on Tell me, what's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) What's going on (what's going on) (What's going on)
